In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Lily Allen has hinted that she would embrace married life.

Lily Allen has dropped a hint that she would like to wear a wedding ring at some point in the future.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, the pop star, who is currently pregnant with her first child, implied she would like to head down the aisle.

When questioned on the issue, she said it is "something you'll have to ask [her boyfriend] Sam [Cooper]" about, but added: "I think I've been pretty clear about what I'd like."

Allen is working on launching a vintage boutique with half-sister Sarah Owen and said she is has no immediate plans to return to making music.

"I just don't know where that's going to fit into my life right now," she stated.

If Allen does tie the knot, she will join a long line of pop stars who have exchanged vows recently.

Hilary Duff married ice hockey player Mike Comrie last month, adding a wedding ring to the large diamond engagement ring she already wears.

Organic designs are replacing formal styles as popular items among buyers of wedding rings, one writer has observed.

Buyers of wedding rings are shunning traditional designs in favour of items that feature warm colours and unusual shapes, it has been claimed.

In an article for Diamond News, a writer known as Katy explained "formal designs are out", with organic styles growing in popularity.

Speaking to the news source, Sandro Erl of jeweller Furrer Jacot stated "new designs are narrower and more feminine", adding the trend for wider items "has stopped".

And growing numbers of couples are opting for a combination of metals, jeweller Maximilian Dieterle observed, remarking "striking surface structures" – which enable the reproduction of a tiger skin design, for example – are also seeing increasing demand.

Men who are in the market for a diamond engagement ring need to consider the four C's – cut, clarity, colour and carat – when making their choice, Scott Hannah of the Province recently noted.

He commented it is important to find a balance between the size of the diamond on the ring and its sparkle.

Wedding ring personalisation services - such as that offered by Diamond Geezer - are becoming more popular among buyers, it has been claimed.

A growing number of customers are becoming more involved with the design of their wedding ring as they seek a personalised item that is unique.

This is according to a writer known as Katy, who said in an article for Diamond News that individualisation is becoming one of the biggest areas of the jewellery industry.

"Manufacturers are aware of their customers' special requests and offer web-based configuration options allowing bridal couples to generate a preliminary design on the internet," she remarked.

Diamond Geezer is one firm that provides such a service, having recently launched a new web-based offering that features over 30,000 wedding ring options for customers – the widest range on the market.

The final design is then ready for the buyer within around seven working days, thanks to rapid-prototyping systems and CNC milling machines that can produce the items quickly.

Commenting, Regensburg-based jeweller Maximilian Dieterle explained such offerings are particularly popular among the younger generation. 

Heather Locklear has accepted an engagement ring from her boyfriend and will marry next year, according to reports.

Rumours are circulating that Heather Locklear is about to head down the aisle again after accepting an engagement ring from current boyfriend Jack Wagner.

According to the Daily Express, an insider has revealed the couple are to wed next spring after actor Wagner proposed at her recent birthday party.

The pair – who both starred in US television series Melrose Place – were eating out at a Korean restaurant when Locklear said yes.

"She is ready," a source was quoted by the newspaper as saying. Locklear – who has also been married to Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi – had previously turned down proposals from Wagner because she "never felt the time was right", the person added.

Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller are another celebrity couple who are set to exchange vows, with Life & Style reporting Rogen – who has been dating the writer and actress since 2004 – proposed late in September.
