BULLION PRICES ROCKET

BULLION PRICES ROCKET and will effect wedding ring prices

Designer Wedding Rings
While generally lacking in confidence the financial markets maintain their interest and confidence in precious metals i.e bullion, driving up prices. This year we have already seen huge gains in the market prices of Platinum, Gold and perhaps the surprise star Palladium.

Spot Prices February 2011
The DiamondGeezer.com metal buyers recommend couples, looking to secure their wedding rings, do so sooner rather than later to avoid further hikes in the speculative bullion market. Rememeber that the prices of bullion as a trading commodity are set twice a day in London & New York and new values, while not immediately passed on, are instantly reflected in the prices all jewellery manufacturers, including DiamondGeezer.com have to pay.

NO DELAYS TO REPORT

Delighted to report that all staff are in this morning in spite of the snow. Yesterday we rented a fleet of Landrovers to battle the weather conditions and ensure staff got into work safely and production is well under way this morning and on schedule.

SPECIAL HALLMARKING ARRANGEMENTS

The extra ordinary efforts by the DiamondGeezer team are ensuring that all orders are leaving on time. Special arrangements have been made with the Birmingham Assay office who have provided us with a special 2 hour service for any items that still require hallmarking.

P.O GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER

We are also delighted to report that the Post Office has addressed (no pun intended) their problems with the snow of a fortnight ago with a £20 million fund to meet the extra demands of the weather and are committed to getting premium services delivered on time.

It’s not snowing inside our offices or workshop, we are all in and we’ll work till we drop, then reach for the sleeping bags and brandy, ready for a busy day tomorrow!

Latest Lesotho diamond could go for £7m

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

A diamond weighing 185 carats might sell for £7 million.

An 185-carat rough diamond found in Lesotho that may be used in diamond jewellery could be worth almost £7 million.

According to the Daily Mail, analysts from Panmure Gordon & Co, an investment banking group, have estimated the mineral will sell for between £4.6 million and £6.9 million.

The stone will probably be cut down into smaller jewels, which might be made into diamond rings and diamond pendants.

Discovered at the end of October, the finding is of particular importance because it has come from the main mining pipe at the Letseng site, rather than the satellite pipe that has been the source of large precious rocks in the past.

A 196-carat white stone was recovered from the facility in August this year and the mine is the source of three of the world's top 20 largest diamonds.

These valuable discoveries will speed up production plans at the mine site, owner Gem Diamonds said, adding the specimen is "exceptional", with its value calculated according to colour and quality.
