What is Micro Pave?
Micro pavé is a term used for jewellery that has literally been paved with diamonds that have been very closely set. A micro pavé ring is usually a large centre stone diamond surrounded by tiny one hundredth of a carat diamonds that are set down the shoulders of the ring. Micro pavé is also known as a bead setting due to the diamonds resembling small beads. To achieve a micro pavé setting, the ring is drilled to create a taper hole where the diamonds are placed & the metal is pushed over the edges of the stones. Micro pavé settings give any size centre stone the illusion of being larger than it really is because of the clusters of diamonds surrounding it.
