Seth Rogen is to marry Lauren Miller, the actress and writer he has been dating since 2004, after she accepted his proposal.

Hollywood star Seth Rogen is to head down the aisle after proposing to his long-time girlfriend with an engagement ring.

The actor, who has appeared in Knocked Up, Superbad and Pineapple Express, proposed to Lauren Miller late last month, according to Life & Style.

They have been together since 2004 and an unnamed individual was quoted by the news source as saying Miller – a writer and actress – was unsure whether Rogen would ask for her hand in marriage.

"She'd started giving up hope that he would ever pop the question," the person remarked, adding: "Her family adores him; everyone is thrilled to plan a wedding."

Rogen, who said in an interview that he has "a girlfriend who is far prettier than I should have", is not the only actor to have got down on one knee recently.

Tom Hardy, who was recently on cinema screens in Inception, is to marry Charlotte Riley, who he met on the set of a television adaptation of Wuthering Heights. 

Fearne Cotton accepted boyfriend Jesse Jenkins

Fearne Cotton is to head down the aisle after she accepted an engagement ring from her boyfriend Jesse Jenkins.

The Radio 1 DJ agreed to marriage after the US skateboarder proposed to her on her 29th birthday.

They have yet to make an official announcement regarding making their on-off relationship official, but Cotton dropped a hint when she posted a message on Twitter saying: "Having the BEST day full of surprises!!"

A friend was quoted by the Mirror as saying "they know they were meant to be together. Jesse is smitten".

Also rumoured to be getting married is Peaches Geldof, who was recently seen wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger while eating dinner with her boyfriend, the film director Eli Roth.

The couple were out in London to celebrate their six-month anniversary and the premiere of Roth's new film, however, her spokesperson dismissed the suggestions, insisting they are "100 per cent not engaged".

Jim Toth, boyfriend of Reese Witherspoon, has been spotted shopping for an engagement ring.

Reese Witherspoon may be about to receive a diamond engagement ring after boyfriend Jim Toth was spotted shopping for jewellery.

He has reportedly been seen in several Hollywood jewellery stores searching for the perfect ring for Witherspoon.

A source told In Touch Weekly Magazine Toth went shopping alone "because he wants it to be a surprise".

"He knows her style. The ring will be classic and beautiful, just like Reese herself," the individual said, adding the proposal is likely to take place "in the next few weeks".

Witherspoon, 34, previously dated Jake Gyllenhaal and has been married once before, to Ryan Phillippe.

The pair split in 2006 after being married for seven years.

One celebrity who has just tied the knot is New Tricks actress Amanda Redman, who recently walked down the isle to wed Damian Schnabel.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror prior to the big day, she said the couple both cried after he proposed.
