When we say CERTIFICATED DIAMOND we mean a diamond that has been independently examined and appraised in a recognised and approved, impartial gemmological laboratory. Diamond certification is not a precise science and that is because the resulting certificate contains the view of the gemmologist who carried out the certification. Just like driving examiners, some gemmologists are stricter than others.
