Three-stone diamond engagement rings are called TRILOGY RINGS or sometimes TRINITY RINGS.The trilogy ring or 3 stone diamond ring design is sometimes given as an engagement ring as an alternative to a diamond solitaire engagement ring . A trilogy ring or 3 stone diamond ring represents the enduring nature of a couple's relationship in a similar way to the eternity ring. However, rather than a band of diamonds, a trilogy ring or 3 stone diamond ring consists of three stones either the same size or a larger central stone with smaller stones to the side. The use of three stones rather than one allows our jewellery designers to mix stone shapes and colours. A diamond trilogy ring or 3 stone diamond ring symbolises the 'PAST' the 'PRESENT' and the 'FUTURE' of the relationship or 'NOW', 'FOREVER & 'ALWAYS'. Like the eternity ring it is often presented on a significant anniversary or upon the birth of a child and worn as a right-hand ring, on the third finger of the right-hand. As well as diamonds, trilogy ring or 3 stone diamond rings are often set with semi-precious gem stones such as sapphire, emerald and ruby.
