DiamondGeezer.com Enter the Diamond Ring Pull into Global Design Contest

Design Contest Entry by DiamondGeezer.com the Ring-Pull Ring
At DiamondGeezer.com we are at the forefront of innovation, we like look at things from a different angle and think outside the box, which is why our own in-house team of designers have entered a well known ‘Worldwide Design Contest’, the competition was created to show off the extraordinary skills of users around the world with a particular piece of design software.

For this competition we have designed The Diamond Ring Pull, the ring imitates the ring pull from the coke can and is set with two rubies, one natural round 5.5mm pigeon blood red Sri Lankan Ruby set on the diamond encrusted tab, with the smaller 2.2mm natural Ruby rub-set into the side of the ring. The design has a yellow gold trim on the canopy and a yellow gold rub over on each ruby.

The pave set round brilliant diamonds come to a total carat weight of 1.5ct, the tab really is the centre-piece of the design, showing off the larger red Ruby, the 18ct yellow gold trim, and the sea of round brilliant cut diamonds pave-set onto the surface, this is a unique ring design that will not go unnoticed!

The tab measures a whopping 16mm wide, giving the largest possible area to show off the blood-red Ruby and carpet of round diamonds, while the shank measures a modest 2.5mm wide.

This really was a labour of love for our team of in-house designers, from concept, to development, to the finished design. DiamondGeezer.com are proud to represent the UK in this international competition with a whole host of other world renowned designers.

Champagne Diamonds – Desirable to Buy or Not?

Believe it or not, brown or champagne diamonds are the most common colour of natural diamonds found anywhere, there are many names for this colour of stone; champagne, chocolate, cognac, honey …. the list goes on, brown diamonds also have many different colour variations, from faint light brown all the way to a deep, dark, chocolatey brown. Also there are endless combinations of colours that are possible for example you can have a ‘fancy dark orangy brown coloured diamond.

Champage Diamond Halo Ring

Diamonds with a brown colour or hue have been quite undesirable for many years, it is only recently that we are seeing an increase in the popularity of brown stones, much owed to notable celebrities donning them including Helen Mirren, Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz, couple that with the carefully thought out names for them like ‘Champagne’ or ‘Chocolate Diamonds’ you can see how they are becoming very popular.

There are many world famous brown diamonds including the Golden Jubilee Diamond which is the largest cut diamond on earth at 545 carats and yellow brown in colour, the Earth Star Diamond which has a deeper darker brown colour, and not forgetting the cushion cut Star of the South diamond weighing in at just over 128ct which was famously found by an African slave woman in Brazil who was given her freedom for finding it!

DiamondGeezer.com specialise in white diamonds, however we have access to a huge network of coloured diamonds and deal with them every day, if you are looking for a brown or coloured diamond then look no further than DiamondGeezer.com
